2nd January 2014 Edgefield/Flitcham Areas
Another trip to Holt to see the Parrot Crossbills was successful we saw about a dozen in the Roller clearing mid-morning. We then drove to Edgefield Tip to look for the Glaucous Gull, it was seen flying towards the tip when we first arrived, we then walked down the hill and found it with a large flock of gulls in a field.
Whilst we were having a break 2 Red Kites- above- were gliding over a nearby field.
On the way home we dropped into Abbey Farm, Flitcham, we saw a good number of the usual Farmland birds including the above Bramblings and this Fieldfare.
