11th October 2014:- Burnham Norton Marsh, Norfolk
I drove to Burnham Norton Marsh to see the Steppe Grey Shrike that had been there for a few days. On arrival i joined about 20 other birders and managed to get the above shots. At first the bird was rather distant sitting on a post, but after a while it came closer feeding just in front of the crowd. This bird was a first for Norfolk, there has been one seen in Lincolnshire which was the very tame individual that was photographed sitting on birders heads. On the way back to the car two common cranes was seen circling between Burnham and Holkham Marshes.
