We visited Lynford today for the Hawfinch's that had been seen recently, we however had no luck. I think that with the influx of birder's early morning the flock of 14 -seen pre 8.45am- was spooked so they did not return until the afternoon.
As we walked in we spotted siskin and crossbills feeding in the larches this was rewarding as was the long-tailed tits, and other finches seen on the nearby hedgerow.
